A major conference with analysts and journalists in a beautiful part of Italy - the spa town of Fiuggi - and nobody in the room has access to the Internet? This can't be tolerated!

NewsWireless Net, one of the VIP delegates to this HP seminar session, brought a Xircom access point. With the co-operation of the Grand Hotel Palazzo Della Fonte, we got a Ethernet cable linked to the Internet. We plugged the cable into the AP; and now, everybody in the room has Internet access.

Call it guerilla wireless, if you like. We think of it as "setting a good example."
