Bluetooth hands-free for eight phones in a car from Trust
by Guy Kewney | posted on 26 January 2005
According to Pocket-Lint, Trust "appears to be launching a product a week" and this week's offering is a new Bluetooth car kit.

Trust has two Bluetooth car adapters on the market now. The new model Bluetooth Car Kit LCD HS-8200 costs £110, and looks like an Apple Mac - it works with both hands-free and headset profiles (different phones use one or the other or both).
The older one is the cheaper HS-8100 which looks more like an audio accessory.
The difference?
Here's the spec for the old model:
- Car kit with Bluetooth® wireless technology for comfortable and safe hands-free communication
- Works with Bluetooth® compatible mobile phones that support the 'Headset' or 'Hands free' profile
- Quickly connects to the cigarette lighter connection in your car
- 2 exchangeable microphones included to suit your preference for optimal voice reception
- Easy to use controls for volume, answering and cancelling calls, voice dialling, re-dialling, pairing and switching on/off
- Provides excellent reception and transmission of audio signals with low interference from background noise
The new model adds new features:
- Clear backlit LCD display and illuminated buttons for easy volume control, answering and cancelling calls, voice dialling, re-dialling, pairing and switching on/off
- Easy synchronisation of 20 numbers from the SIM card of your mobile phone (if supported by the phone)
- Up to 8 different phones can be paired with the carkit
- The car kit can be rotated towards the driver or the front seat passenger for optimal voice reception and display view

It seems not to boast the "two exchangeable microphones" of the cheaper kit, however.
