India's top Government man on comms will be in Cannes for 3GSM

The Indian Minister of Communication, Dayanidhi Maran, is just one more VIP who will be in Cannes next week, promoting his country's "prowess" in the mobile sector.
Maran will then travel to London, to have discussions with Ofcom, the communications regulator for the UK, according to a report in Keralanext.
His visit to Cannes comes three years after the Government in India set up a special mobile sector initiative, says the report.
