by Guy Kewney | posted on 03 April 2005
Orange and Easy Mobile CEOs will line up head to head as speakers at the FT World Mobile Communications Conference in London, May 11-12, at the Marriott, Grosvenor Square.

"This year's focus is on the future of mobile devices as content delivery vehicles and the evolution of mobile within a mixed-network world," claimed Rowena Atkins, Head of Conferences, Financial Times. "In particular, it will highlight the promise of true mobile multimedia as 3G comes of age."
Highlights include:
- How big is the market for mobile content and entertainment services and how quickly will it grow? What is the forecast value of different types of mobile content and entertainment?
- What are the key drivers and barriers that will influence the rate of market growth for different types of mobile content and entertainment?
- What is the difference between the most successful and less successful brands? What role do product features, handset design and content data packages play in the success of brands?
- Should mobile operators pursue 3G only services or focus on integration of 3G/WLAN services? How much of WiMAX’s touted potential is merely hype? Which countries are fast-forwarding to 4G?
The speaker list includes:
- Sanjiv Ahuja, CEO of Orange: "How the promise of true mobile multimedia is becoming a reality".
- David Williams, CTO of O2: "The impact of digital multimedia broadcasting and the need for customising mobile TV content".
- Stelios Haji-Ioannou, Chairman of easyGroup: "The importance of branding as a driver of customer choice".
