The Bluetooth headset so smart you don't need a phone?

Jabra, whose parent company GN Netcom announced that it had "qualified" its first version 2.0 Bluetooth headset last month, has now announced a "fully automated" Bluetooth headset which allows you to keep your phone in your pocket.

The Jabra BT 350 is the Bluetooth equivalent of the wire-linked C 350 headset which appeared in January at the Consumer Electronics Show.

According to Jabra, the new headset is only BT 1.2, but is fully automated. Functions you can perform without reaching for the phone:

  • Answer / End call
  • Voice dial*
  • Last Number re-dial*
  • Reject call*
  • Call hold / Call wait*
  • Mute

It also has a "vibrate" function to let you know the phone is ringing somewhere in your deepest pocket...
