Back online - again. Newswireless rewires. Hold the sauce.

It's been a while since we were able to post regular bulletins, and effectively, this is the relaunch of NewsWireless. So welcome back. And the good news: both the dead PCs have been fixed, or replaced.

Hero of the renaissance is AMD. At a point where the Web server was, literally, dying, a dual Opteron server was provided at competitive rates, and from here on, the new machine (nicknamed Tzut* after a Pratchett God) will run and run. And then, when the NewsWireless office machine perished, wiping out the hard disk, a kindly AMD wizard offered to replace the motherboard. We now come to you courtesy of an Nvidia-made 64-bit Athlon dual-core system of truly heart-stopping power. And when the new disk is delivered, of amazing capacity, but that's another story.

Amongst the innovations of the relaunched NewsWireless will be the appearance of an archive of columns written by the Editor for other sites where an archive is not kept. Prime amongst those will be the IT Week column, which will be blogged a day after publication in paper form, each Monday. But there will be links to other contributions to places like The Register and so on.

We hope you enjoy the new surge, and hope to show just what can be done with a truly "insider view" of the world of wireless and mobile.

And the Hunky Mouse reports that his latest project is over, and so we expect to see more from the Sniffer, too.
