Apparently, my credentials in "Noo Meeja" are crap. I had regarded myself as something of an authority on this subject, so the discovery came as a shock.

Is it my status (I asked, desperately) - compromised by being technology aware? Or perhaps, my beard, revealing me to be too far above the age of 18?

None of the above. It is, apparently, the three repetitions of the letter "w" in between the "http://" and the "newswireless.net" - it is "so old-fashioned!"
